In 2016 PlaySmart provided new outdoor feature surfacing for Washwood Heath Academy in Birmingham.
We worked closely with the Building Services Team and the School Council to discuss the best options for them. Ultimately, we decided on a combination of practical JungleMulch feature areas around benches and bright colour wetpour for the main surface.
These surfacing materials meet their requriements for colour scheme and tudoor feature designs they were looking for. But also, curicially, these choices create a safe, long-lasting play area.
Notably, including a bespoke school logo was included in the wetpour rubber. We used vibrant colour fo this design to create a worth-while centre-peice for this project.
Washwood Heath Academy staff loved the new outdoor feature designs on their playground. Here’s what they said about their new play space:
