Using Artificial Grass in schools & nurseries

PlaySmart have undertaken a number of leisure and school artificial grass installation jobs since our launch of Green Frog Artificial Grass back in August. Therefore, we thought it was about time to share a quick case study on one!

Our most recent artificial grass installation job was on behalf of Red Monkey Play at Our Lady & St Huberts’ Catholic Primary School in Oldbury. The Primary School has a trim trail area in their playground, which they wanted to make feel more natural. Installing artificial grass around the kit helps break up the monotony of tarmac playground. Ultimately, this can create a bright play space for the children.

Our Lush Lawn 35 artificial grass installation is a fantastic choice for Primary Schools and nurseries alike. Not only is the maintenance incredibly easy, but the grass is child friendly and there will be no muddy mess. The artificial grass is soft to the touch, creating another layer of sensory stimulation for the children.

Other Installations

Are you wanting all the benefits of artificial grass, but also want to incorporate other patterns and designs? We are more than happy to do both! One option is to go for a velour grass carpet, as different colours can be used to create patterns, shapes or designs, such as this car themed play area at a local nursery.

The other option would be to go for a combination of wet pour and artificial grass. By doing this, you can create a wide range of designs. One of our favourites is this blue water splash and wiggly grass path. By having an inviting environment with colour and shapes, these schools and nurseries help develop children’s minds and stimulate their imagination.

  1. That’s a great article Jasmine! Artificial grass is great for schools and nurseries. Artificial grass is resilient that children can run on it all day long and it won’t get damaged. Plus, it comes in a variety of colors and custom designs can also be printed on them.
